The Brass Teapot
After watching The Brass Teapot my mind was spinning and turning with "what ifs". I loved the movie so much that I watched it twice and I wouldn't mind watching it a third time. It's a story about a young couple, Alice and John, just trying to get by in the world. As Alice searches for employment, her boyfriend, John, gets fired from his office job and the couple worry about their ability to pay the bills.
Although they share a deep love for each other, their shallow pockets don't contain enough money to support themselves. After a horrible, no so accidental accident, Alice enters an antique shop across the street and discovers the answers to all her and John's financial troubles. She is mesmerized by a brass teapot and enchanted by its magic. Alice has a sudden impulse and snatches the teapot from the shop and runs off with it.
Life for John and Alice gets both painful and rewarding after they discover the powers of the teapot. The brass teapot dispenses money every time pain is inflicted on someone. The couple then start to literally beat each other up and are reimbursed for their pain in cold hard cash. It seems as if John and Alice are living the good life and have everything they ever wanted until the value of their physical pain runs out.
When the power of pain doesn't have as strong of an effect on the magical teapot the two search for other ways to inflict pain and get paid. One thing after another, they hurt everyone around them and must decide what to do with the teapot. Are the rewards of the teapot worth the risk and suffering they have gone through?
What if you were blessed with a money dispensing teapot that pays for pain? What if the teapot could solve all your problem? What would you do with all the money? Would you be willing to both physically and emotionally hurt the people around you? What if you had to choose the money or the person you love most? How far would you go and would you be able to know when enough is enough?
